​Performing the haj is one of the five pillars of Islam and is considered a fundamental act of worship for Muslims to endear themselves to Allah Ta'ala. The matter was highlighted during the Closing Ceremony of Tarbiah Ibadah Haji for new converts intending haj pilgrims and Doa Selamat.

According to Awang Haji Abdul Rajid bin Haji Mohd Salleh, Director of the Islamic Da'wah Centre, Rehlah Haj means a journey that requires the sacrifice of the soul, emotions, wealth, family and health for the sake of devoting oneself to Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala.

Organised by the Islamic Da'wah Centre through the Mualaf Development Section (Tarbiyah Mualaf), the event ran concurrently with presentation of certificates to the new converts intending haj pilgrims.
