Anne Hathaway has given birth to a boy!

The actress and her husband welcomed their little man a couple of weeks ago on March 24 in L.A., and after having some time to get used to their new family have announced it to the world.

Their spokesperson revealed: ‘The baby is extremely healthy and is surrounded by friends and family in L.A. Anne and Adam are ecstatic to be parents.’

And the couple have named him a cute, non-Hollywood name – Jonathan.

Anne had an intimate baby shower in early March with just a few close friends, including Matthew McConaughey’s wife Camila Alves.

A source told MailOnline: ‘Anne was one of the first people to arrive. She looked relaxed and happy to be there.

‘There was a lot of chatter and laughter throughout the afternoon. Many times there was giggling and clapping because all of the ladies were having so much fun.’

Last year she posted a bikini shot on Instagram showing off her bump, leading fans to speculate she was carrying a boy.

I figure if this kind of photo is going to be out in the world it should at least be an image that makes me happy (and be one that was taken with my consent. We’ve been promised the Princess Diaries 3, with Anne apparently ready to get filming, but here’s hoping she doesn’t rush back to work!
