Nanta Wants Prompt Action On Complaints

KUALA LUMPUR

All agencies under the Works Ministry and local authorities must be proactive in taking action on complaints of road damage, says Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi.

Nanta emphasised that the Federal Government has established a dedicated avenue for road users to file complaints via the “MyJalan” application, and consequently, swift measures should be undertaken to address these concerns.

“Since the application was launched last August, we saw the initial stage of the initiative as effective in dealing with road damage.

“We have observed that the MyJalan initiative has displayed commendable performance thus far, given our prompt response to received complaints.

“Our approach adheres to the ‘no wrong door’ policy, which means that even complaints related to damaged roads beyond the jurisdiction of JKR (Public Works Department), such as state roads, are appropriately redirected to the relevant authorities.

“Therefore, it is imperative that all concerned parties also take immediate action,” he said after officiating the pre-launch ceremony of the National Technical Profession Day (HPTN) 2023 at the Tan Sri Mahfoz Khalid Hall at the Public Works Complex here yesterday. — Bernama
