​Following public complaints and information on the Okazaki brush, the Ministry of Religious Affairs through the Syariah Affairs Department has conducted an inspection at a business premise in the country.

Information from the product's packaging found that the brush was made with pig bristles. In this regard, the Syariah Affairs Department has ordered for the immediate removal of the said product. The Ministry of Religious Affairs reminded business owners, managers, retailers, suppliers, and importers to be vigilant when importing products for sale, and to ensure halal products are not mixed with non-halal ones.
