His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam in a titah stresses that 'syukur' or gratitude is a great and noble matter required by Allah by way of praising Him with the phrase Alhamdulillah. His Majesty in the titah says that as a statement of gratitude or thanks to Allah, the Muslim ummah should say Alhamdulillah for successfully completing the fast, likewise if they are healthy and have ample sustenance as well as able to celebrate 'Idil Fitri comfortably. His Majesty emphasises the matter in the Titah in conjunction with Hari Raya 'Idil Fitri for 1445 Hijrah, 2024 broadcast nationwide through radio and television. His Majesty in the titah says 'Idil Fitri will come again, which is a day of joy while being grateful for successfully facing the challenge of fasting.
