BSB

The Enforcement Unit, Belait District Office has warned any individual or corporate body to comply with all the rules and laws in force in the country. It aims to maintain the cleanliness of the area and environment by disposing of waste materials in the areas provided. The reminder was issued after receiving a complaint from the residents of STKRJ Lorong 3 Selatan on non-compliance sewage disposal activities.

During the operation, a company appointed by an agency was issued a compound fine of $2,000. The compound fine was issued to the company for violating the Miscellaneous Offences Act 2021, Chapter 30, which is disposal of waste liquids causing it to flow into public places. The company is required to settle the compound fine within seven days. If in default, the company can be brought to court.
