Every civil servant, especially the frontline leaders, must always put their professionalism at the highest level, besides focusing their efforts and energy towards fulfilling the demands of interested parties, which are always changing. Civil servants should also always remember, clients and society in general will continue to expect quality services which meet their needs. The Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence emphasised the matter at the certificate presentation ceremony for the 30th Executive Development Programme for Senior Government Officers, EDPSGO, 33rd and 34th Executive Development Programme for Middle Management Officers, EDPMMO as well as Young Executive Programme, YEP Cohorts-7 and 8, 2023.

Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof also said the Executive Development Programmes are designed, based on the officer levels participating, with assignments and challenges that require them to think analytically and critically, as well as being able to connect them with the country's priorities. Such exposure, Yang Berhormat added, is very important, not only in enhancing knowledge, skills and experience related to the latest and most recent approaches, but also supporting the potential of the participants as the future leaders' generation.

The Executive Development programmes are the flagship programmes of the Civil Service Leadership Pipeline, CSLP under the Public Service Framework created to support Wawasan Brunei 2035 through the Institutional Development Strategy. All CSLP flagship programmes for 2023 are managed by the Public Service Institute, IPA. The IPA also collaborated for the first time with the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy for handling the EDPSGO-30.
