​The 16th Islamic Financial Services Board, IFSB Summit 2024 started on 8th May 2024, hosted by the Brunei Darussalam Central Bank, BDCB. With the theme 'Islamic Finance and Financial Stability in an Evolving Environment: Navigating Emerging Risks', the 2-day summit is held at The Empire Brunei.

Present was Dayang Hajah Rokiah binti Haji Badar, Managing Director of BDCB. In the morning session, panellists discussed how the advancement of technological innovation and the emergence of the sustainability agenda have opened up new market opportunities and prospects for Islamic finance.

Meanwhile, a dialogue on 'Climate Finance and Green Sukuk' emphasised the transformative impact of Islamic finance, and how it is becoming a driving force in the global financial landscape.
