For the intending haj pilgrims, the opportunity to attend the Audience and Junjung Ziarah Ceremony with His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam prior to their departure to Mekah was a precious moments. The grant of His Majesty's Personal Fare, the government fare and the fare to new converts reflects the monarch's concern to the intending haj pilgrims.

As they arrived in Istana Nurul Iman, the intending haj pilgrims made their registrations. Lunch was also provided for them. Before the audience and junjung ziarah ceremony, the intending haj pilgrims performed mass Fardhu Zuhur prayer and Sunat Hajat prayer.

A comfortable waiting room was provided prior to the audience and junjung ziarah ceremony. Medical Officers also play a vital role in looking after the health of the intending pilgrims.

His Majesty's government is also highly attentive towards the welfare of new converts by providing the haj fare for them. As a symbol of His Majesty's care, ihram attire were given to male pilgrims while telekung was given to female pilgrims.
