Encouragement and support are needed to achieve good mental health and well-being.

This is because mental health is not only a human right, but a shared responsibility.

The matter was shared during the 'Mental Health and Well-Being at the Workplace: A Basic Right' Roadshow in conjunction with World Mental Health Day.

Held at the Prime Minister's Office, the roadshow aimed to raise awareness apart from acting as a dissemination platform on mental health services in the country.

According to Dayang Nor Syahmun Binti Haji Matassan, Head of Mental Health Strategy, Health Promotion Centre, the World Health Organoisation, WHO estimated that 15 percent of working people suffer from mental disorders.

An estimated 200 participants comprising officers and staff under the Prime Minister's office attended the roadshow.

Held in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Religious Affairs, and the Prime Minister's Office, the roadshow was conducted with the support of the Counseling Division, the Public Service Department and Clarity Sendirian Berhad.
