​Preparations to celebrate the 12th National Family Day, HKK were discussed during the Executive Committee's first meeting held Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium.

Present as co-Chairs of the National Family Day Celebration for 2024 were Dayang Hajah Nor Ashikin binti Haji Johari, Permanent Secretary for Community at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports; Awang Haji Mohammad Rosli bin Haji Ibrahim, Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs; and Doctor Dayang Shamsiah Zuraini Kanchanawati binti Haji Tajuddin, Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education. This year's theme is “My Family My Hope" and the focus of the HKK is "Implementing the Core Values of the Brunei Family: Loving each other; Responsibilities; Respect each other; Caring" (Brunei Family Core Values: “SaTu HaraPan").
