The 14th Pusat Ehsan Charity Golf Tournament 2016 will be held from April 22-24 at the RBA Golf Club in Berakas.

Pusat Ehsan Al-Ameerah Al-Hajjah Maryam, as a non-profit charity organisation, has derived its fund totally from donations and contributions from the community therefore raising fund for the centre is the key objective of the tournament.

However, this year, they have gone a step further through the Pusat Ehsan Development Masterplan which was launched early this year with requests for Expression of Interest.

In spite of the current economic climate, Pusat Ehsan has received several credible respondents from the construction industry.

The Public and Private Sector Partnership (PPP) is alive and well in the management of the tournament.

The organising committee, appointed and answerable to Pusat Ehsan, has among its members a large number of volunteers from the private and public sectors.

According to a press release, Vincent and Associates has confirmed early its sponsorship of a Mazda as a hole-in-one prize for the easiest Par3#2 while a reward BND$5,000 to be contributed by an anonymous donor with a smaller cash prize of BND$500 for Bull's Eye winners.

Participants will also have the opportunity to test their putting skills in the "Putt-Stop Challenge" on the practice green between #5 and #7.

The tournament, which features the Patron's Challenge Trophy, is also opened to ladies and senior golfers. Registration fee is BND$100 inclusive of breakfast, lunch and buggy.

The tournament will be conducted on the basis of 'System 36 (Stroke Play)'.

But for the gross players, a Special Sunday Gross Event will be conducted FOC for the eight top gross players vying for the Challenge Trophy.
