Health Centre Holds Awareness Day

Bandar Seri Begawan - With the aim of promoting a healthy lifestyle, the Bandar Seri Begawan Health Centre organised a one-day activity at Maktab SOAS yesterday morning. Present as the guest of honour was Awg Hj Saji bin Hj Mudin, the Chairman of the Municipal Board.

According to the secretary of the organising committee, Awg Hj Mokim Hj Hassan, Acting Senior Officer at the Nursing Department, the aim was to create a health awareness campaign to all the residents of several Mukims near the capital, especially those in Kg Kianggeh. He also conveyed his appreciation to all who supported the programme including sponsors such as TAIB and the other private sector companies.

Also in attendance were invited guests and health officers from RIPAS hospital.

The event was well received by many, including students from St Andrew's School, Maktab SOAS, St George's School and STPRI.

The event began with an aerobics exercise followed by several health talks. There was also an exhibition and a clinic booth for everyone to check their health levels. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
