Learning How To Run A Business

Begawan - Thirteen participants are taking part in the 3rd
intake of the Business Incubator Programme for Graduates of
Vocational and Technical Institutions at Sekolah Perdagangan
(Business School) in Gadong.

said two participants are running their business operations in the
incubator rooms of the school (Dazian Enterprise and Omic
Enterprise).
The incubator programme is divided
into Entrepreneurship Development Pro-gramme Training (two weeps);
Preparing Business Plan (three months); Operating Real Business in
Incubator Room (20 months).
It aims to assist the technical and
vocational gradates to embark into business, produce young
entrepreneurs and maximise human resource potential that can
contribute to economic development and diversification.
It conducts visits to relevant
government departments and financial institutions, talks from local
entrepreneurs and business activities.
Programme
participants should have a BDTVEC certificate and diploma from
technical and vocational institutions. Priority will be given to
graduates who are without jobs.
Six participants from technical and
vocational have successfully become young entrepreneurs. Five had
been trained by the Entrepreneurial Training Section of Technical
Education Department.
The programme was first conducted.
by the Entrepreneurial Training Section of Technical Education
Department and absorbed by the Business School on Feb 1, 2005.
Last May, one participant from the
school's Dazian Enterprise operated a business to make traditional
cakes at the incubator room.
The programme will run for two
weeks from Feb 4 to 18. The second phase will start in early March.

of the school, Habib Mohamad, Acting Director of Technical Education
Department, Awg Noorhaizamdin, Assistant Director of Technical
Education Department Awg Ibrahim, teachers and officers from
