Yes I've Met Those Noisy Nurses At Gynae Clinic!
Yes I've Met Those Noisy Nurses At Gynae Clinic!
I actually felt bad because I was disturbing them while they were having fun, but whom else could I ask from. Another thing, I received a very rude welcome from the Gynae clinic in RIPAS and it was my first time going there. I was given a letter to be referred to the gynae, I was kind of lost so I walked in to the receptionist to ask who tho pass the letter to and the lady with spectacles said in a rude tone "ampai saja!" and after that i didnt know whether to stay in or that's it, to go home. So I asked again "atu saja" (that's it)? And then with her annoyed and grumpy old face said out loud and pointing with her pen "DUDUK DI SANA DULU! KARANG KANA PANGGIL!" (go and sit there and wait for your name to be called)!!
I was shocked that someone that rude can be working in a hospital! The second time I went to the gynae for appointment, I came in 30 minutes early, I gave them my card and seated to be called. There were about 15 people before me.. 20 minutes past, 10 people before me got called in, 30 minutes past, the 5 people before me got called in and i was expecting my turn to be called, I got skipped, at first 2 people who came after me got called, I was ok thinking maybe they couldn't find my file.. so I waited. After about 20 people who came after me got called, I approached the spectacle lady and asked "kenapa aku balum kana panggil ah? macam limpas. (did they called my name? and when? :)" and she asked my name and then she replied out loud and rudely "MASIH MENCARI, BUKAN LIMPAS AHH.. MA.SIH MEN.CA.RI" (We are still looking, we did not skip your number, we are still looking for your file)
I felt like smacking her face but I had my patience. I am wondering what happened to TPOR? Are these people not trained?? Or maybe they were not trained when they were kids about respect, polite and other good manners. I used to work as a front-liner before, I had annoying customers come up to me every day but I was told to treat them with good manners still. And after a year, I was given a bonus for having the patience and right attitude.
It does pay to be patient even though the job is killing you softly.

to my perception, service standard in brunei`s service industry always give the poor standard. as me nt sure when does they are able to improve their standard. really a shame for them , take the full salary and produce less work n poor service to end user.

but then! some foreigners (caucasians) came into the clinic a few minutes later. my cousins were getting the injection then so i went to see how the nurse would treat these foreigners - whether she would still be 'rude' and 'annoyed'. and ha! as i had expected, the nurse was super sweet and all smiles! i mean, how silly is that? that she would treat foreigners better than she would treat locals - her own people? freaking ridiculous, i tell you.
if i were to be found in the same situation again in the future, i think i would go up to the nurse and say to her, "kalau inda suka keraja atu, beranti saja. inda payah menyakiti hati orang. siapa nama biskita? kan ku gitau pehin suyoi..."

I ENCOURAGE any of you, when confronted with behaviour like this, to get a friend to take a video of the conversation (from far of course, and discretely) and post it up on Youtube. Biar tia durang malu!!! Biar tia durang kana fired. They deserve it for their rudeness and blatant disrespect for others!
