Women's Bureau Conducts Visit To Papar District In Sabah
Bandar Seri Begawan - Some 30 women comprising those from the Women's Bureau of the Temburong District village Consultative Council and spouses of village heads and penghulus, visited the Papar District in Sabah, Malaysia recently.
Prior to their departure, a doa selamat was read by Haji Emran bin Sabtu, Penghulu of Mukim Bokok.
Among the aims of the visit were to learn and gain experience whilst taking the opportunity to understand the management programme and the village economical administrative project. The visit also hopes to assist the villages in the Temburong District to be more successful in operating the `One village, one product' concept especially the women's role in the Women's Bureau, Village Consultative Council.
Upon arrival, the group was greeted by the host, Daerah Papar Department. They will be conducting visits to factories and business companies.-- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
