Mora Welcomes New Officers

Bandar Seri Begawan - The Ministry of Religious Affairs (MoRA) held an induction course for its 42 new officers yesterday aimed at equipping its new officers with basic knowledge on the ministry and its departments, said a press statement from the Ministry yesterday.

The induction course is in its second phase; the first phase was conducted in May. The course will run for eight days, until November 26. With such knowledge, the recruits will be able to perform their duties and responsibilities in an effective and efficient manner, the statement said.

The course teaches the officers the country's history, the government's main policies, plans and development programme.

During the course, the recruits will attend talks from various departments and sections under the MoRA, the Narcotics Control Bureau, Anti-Corruption Bureau, Internal Affairs, Ministry of Finance, Universiti Brunei Darussalam and the Civil Service Institute.

Participants will also visit Melilas in Kuala Belait the statement said. Wardi Hj Mohammad Ali, head of MoRA's Human Resource Section, launched the course at the ministry's building. -- Courtesy of The Brunei Times
