It was part of the activity organised by the school to provide them with the exposure, knowledge and understanding of the oil and gas industry in the country. The students were accompanied by the class teachers.

The students were greeted by Mr Allen, the exhibition co-ordinator of OGDC. The visit began with a briefing on the history of OGDC by Mr Allen and followed with a tour of the exhibition hall. During the visit, the students were able to try out the games available and experience the experiments done by OGDC's staff.

OGDC was set up on September 14, 2002 and is aimed to increase the knowledge of the society on the importance of science in the history and discovery of oil and gas. The exhibition hall was divided into several sections namely the Formation, Exploration, Transportation and Energy. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
