10 Years Of Air Scouting In Brunei
Young scout leaders and Rover scouts conducted the ceremony where the guest of honour was Skipper Cikgu Md Azri bin Haji Sulaiman, representing the principal.
The special guests included scout leaders and commissioners from various troops and Skipper Haji Majid, who was the District Commissioner for BruneiMuara District.
Brunei Air Scouts was formed on April 17, 1999,during the 3'd National Jamboree in Kampung Parit Recreational Park.
The new unit consisted of 18 Rover Scouts from various schools, and was under the advice of two Royal Brunei Air Force officers, Major Zulkifli Haji Nayan and Major Hamsani Haji Abdul Hamid. The new unit was dubbed "Air Rovers" or "Kelana Udara".
Since the SOAS College Air Scouts was formed in June 14, 2003 with 40 scouts and teachers, the troop underwent scout and aviation activities such as Air Spotter, Meteorology, Aircraft Basics and even Flight Experience Training.
