The team will be looking to obtain good results in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-14 Regional Festival of Football against opponents from around the region starting with a clash against Myanmar today.

The regional festival is seen as the start of their journey towards competing against quality opposition away from the domestic football scene.

Tabuan under-14 head coach Stephen Ng said: "We are looking forward to put up good performances in all our games this year and hopefully the performance will yield some good results".

"The boys will continue their football education for the next couple of years by going through structural training program and playing more international games in AFC and AFF organised competitions", he further added.

"This will help develop them into strong players that can compete to achieve glory in the future SEA Games for Brunei Darussalam".

The national juniors has been preparing for international exposure since October last year when they first assembled to train and play as the NFABD under-13 team for the 2015 NFABD Elite Under-15 Youth Cup.

The midfield trio of Aminuddin Masri, Imam Mahdi Suhaimi and Aisan Aisamuddin Abdullah Md Aimanis considered as exciting players in the country's current young squad whose experience mainly comes from the nationwide junior league.

Aisan, who is one of only two players who still meet eligibility requirements of participating in the strictly under-14 football festival having been a part of , will hope to use his experience from last year to play an influential role in the team.

"The experience of playing last year in the Under-14 regional festival has made me a better player", he highlighted.

Aisan, who currently studies at Brunei Sports School, is an adventurous player who has the tendency to penetrate opposition's defence and create goals.

His team-mate Aminuddin is primarily known as a technically gifted central midfielder and a player who is able to dictate the game.

The midfielder was called up into the national junior team following a string of outstanding performances for MSN United.
