Brunei Shell Petroleum Company (BSP) today hosted a Hari Raya celebration with the Belait District community at Pusat Insani, Seria.

The festive event was organized by the Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC), a flagship of Brunei Shell Petroleum. The BSP Hari Raya celebration is an annual Social Investment initiative conducted to foster harmonious relationships with BSP's stakeholders and the local communities in the Belait District through the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

Present at the event were key figures and residents in the Belait District as well as staff of Brunei Shell Petroleum together with their families and friends. Carrying a 70s Hari Raya theme, guests were served varieties of classic Malay Kueh and the sweet tasting Hari Raya cakes that were popular in the 70s.

The must have Hari Raya dishes such as Satay, Ketupat and Rendang were also served at the event. Besides the array of food, guests had a chance to try out local games such as Simban and Coconut Bowling.

The celebration was brought to live with a special appearance by Babu Sinur, a local entertainer known for his cheerful sense of humour.

Also present at the celebration was Belait District Officer Awang Haji Haris bin Othman and his spouse, Managing Director of Brunei Shell Petroleum Andrew Faulkner, the penghulu and the village heads of the Belait District.
