More than 100 members of the Ukhwah Mantan RTB group, comprising retired Radio Televisyen Brunei (RTB) officers and personnel, attended a Hari Raya gathering yesterday which took place at Tarindak D'Seni.

Present as the guest of honour was the Minister of Religious Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Yang Berhormat Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, who served as Director of Broadcasting and Information in the 80s.

Awang Haji Muhammad Taha bin Awang Haji Mohd Tahir, secretary of the organising committee, notedthat this is the fifth hosting of the Raya event, with its main aim of strengthening ties amongst former RTB staff.

Haji Muhammad Taha also noted that the group is also engaged in other activities such as conducting Tahlil ceremonies during Ramadhan, attending religious classes at mosques and carrying out Tai Chi activities.
