The committee members of the Malay Welfare Association of Malaysia (PKMS) in Brunei Darussalam yesterday held a Hari Raya gathering at Aneka Rasa Restaurant in Kiulap.

The event was attended by the President of PKMS, Awang Haji Azman bin Haji Sulaiman, who said that its main objective was to enhance friendships amongst PKMS members in Brunei, while encouraging the Malaysian expatriate community to work closely with the Brunei Government.

The highlight of the gathering was a presentation of donations by Haji Azman to the Al-Barakah Centre for Tahfiz and Islamic Studies in Limbang.

Currently, the association has more than 50 registered members, and encourages more Malaysian expatriates to take up membership.
