China's Bond Market Sees 4.8-Trln-Yuan Issuance In October

BEIJING

 

The total bond issuance in China stood at 4.8 trillion yuan (about 729.6 billion U.S. dollars) in October, data from the central bank showed.

 

The issuance of treasury bonds reached 783.11 billion yuan, while the issuance of local government bonds stood at 442.93 billion yuan, according to the People's Bank of China.

 

Last month, financial bond issuance stood at 596.83 billion yuan, and corporate bond issuance hit 1 trillion yuan. The issuance of asset-backed securities stood at 122.54 billion yuan and that of interbank deposit certificates reached 1.8 trillion yuan.

 

By the end of October, outstanding bonds held in custody hit 114.6 trillion yuan, the data showed.
