China's Tianjin Port Sees Robust Growth Of Container Throughput

TIANJIN
Tianjin Port in north China's Tianjin Municipality saw rising container throughput in the first 11 months of this year, according to the port's operator.
Its container throughput rose 6.1 percent year on year to more than 17.1 million 20-foot equivalent units (TEUs) in the period, according to Tianjin Port (Group) Co., Ltd.
In November alone, the port saw its container throughput increase 10.7 percent year on year to over 1.57 million TEUs.
The port has witnessed robust growth despite the COVID-19 epidemic, thanks to its improving operating efficiency and high-quality service, according to the company.
Tianjin Port is an important shipping hub in north China, whose container throughput is expected to exceed 30 million TEUs in 2028.
