Even just looking at this photo, we’re getting vertigo.

Luiz Fernando Candeia, who definitely deserves the title of thrillseeker, decided it would be a laugh to dangle 300ft in the air from a rock face, just by his trainers.

Imagine if they slipped? Imagine if he lost control of his tensing just for a second, and plummeted down to the ground below?

It actually makes you feel sick to think about it.

But it’s real and here’s how he did it:

Luiz, aged 27, roped in a friend to help who lowered him down into position above the stunning Brazilian coastline.

A riot cop for his day job, he used his incredible core strength to keep himself in place before getting his friend to help him back up again.

Which must have felt like about time too, we imagine.

‘I was really scared about the rope breaking when I was getting into position,’ he said. ‘It even made me feel a little sick due to both the height I was at and my sudden fear of losing focus and strength.

‘It was one of the few times that I was genuinely afraid of falling, to tell the truth.’

The photo is so gut-churning that it looks like it must be photoshopped, but Luiz insists that it’s all for real.
