Meanwhile, in Japan, dozens of human-sized Pikachu paraded through the streets today.
Despite what you might assume, it wasn’t even to promote the new mobile game Pokemon Go, which has obsessed everyone since its launch last month.
The Pika-fiesta has been an annual occurrence since 2014, known as the Pikachu Tairyou Hassei-Chu.
It lasts a week and is a celebration of all things Pokemon.
Which is great. But a little… Creepy? Is it just us?
You know, Pikachu being small enough to sit on Ash’s shoulder is part of what makes it super-cute, so suddenly seeing so many giant, lumbering beasts is a bit alarming.
But maybe that’s just us.
The parade took place in Yokohama, southwest of Tokyo, this morning.
To be fair, it definitely beats a bunch of builders dancing on a lorry, which is what most carnivals in Britain seem to look like.
