His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has sent a congratulatory message to Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, President of the Republic of Singapore and Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore as well as the Government and people of the Republic of Singapore on the occasion of their 51st National Day.

In his message to Dr. Tony Tan Keng Yam, His Majesty expressed his great appreciation that the long-standing ties of friendship and cooperation continue to deepen between both countries andtheir people.

Meanwhile, in a similar message to Lee Hsien Loong, His Majesty extended his great appreciation for the continued close friendship and valuable partnerships between the people, businesses and governments of both countries, and look forward to opportunities in enhancing these ties in the year ahead.

In ending the messages, His Majesty expressed his very best wishes for a happy celebration to the leaders and their families as well as to Singaporeans.
