TV Reporter Is Absolutely Thrilled By His Backwards Basketball Shot And So He Should Be

A beautiful moment (Picture: Southern Cross News)

There are few feelings in life that compare with an unexpected moment of sporting success.

Just ask Patrick Reincke, who attempted an incredibly tricky basketball shot while going about his day job as a TV news reporter.

And he absolutely nailed it.

With his back to the basketball hoop – and while finishing off a piece for Southern Cross News in South Australia – he took aim with a hopeful heave.

Patrick knew he had no business whatsoever making the no-look shot, so his reaction of pure shock is completely warranted.

As the kids playing in the background celebrate his success, Patrick wheels away to enjoy his moment of glory.

We could all learn a lesson from the moment of extraordinary bravado.

The odds of him missing and looking like a tool – especially if he managed to hit one of the children – were sky high, but he went for it anyway and it paid off.

Take a risk. Follow your dreams. Aim high.

Especially if you’re live on TV.
