Tanah Bumbu Sends 1000 Teachers to Banten

BATULICIN, SOUTH KALIMANTAN
Tanah Bumbu District embraces Surya Institute Banten to improve the quality of 1,000 teachers in the area known as “Earth Bersujud”, AntaranewsKalsel reported.
“Every year, the local government will send 200 teachers, who have civil servant status, to Surya Istitute to follow education and training (diklat) specifically for one month,” said Head of Tanah Bumbu Education Agency Sartono through the Head of SMP Dept Amilludin in Batulicin, Tuesday.
He said the training is conducted with the aim to improve the quality of Human Resources (HR) especially for more teachers in order to provide excellent service and quality.
This training is a program of local governments implemented by local education agency during the next five years.
There are several stages of selection before the teacher send to the Surya Institute Banten, namely to take the Teacher Competency Test (UKG). The second phase the education agency will see teacher’s attendance for teaching presence, if less than 80 percent then disqualified.
Furthermore, teachers must actively following Subject Teachers Council (MGMPs) routinely scheduled by the education agency.
