MoHA Hosted Doa Selamat Ceremony for Intending Haj Pilgrims

Sixteen Haj pilgrims from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) and departments under it were celebrated during a Doa Selamat ceremony before departing for their pilgrimage to Makkah yesterday at the Surau of the Ministry of Home Affairs building in Bandar Seri Begawan.
The event was held to ask Allah the Almighty to grant the pilgrims a successful pilgrimage and a safe return to their home country.
Present as guest of honour was the Minister of Home Affairs, Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong.
The event began with mass Asar prayer followed by the Doa Selamat, both led by Ustaz Haji Adanan bin Haji Ahmad, Head Religious Teacher at the Fire and Rescue Department.
Donations were then presented to the pilgrims carried out by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Also present during the event were Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Home Affairs, Awang Haji Mohd Abdoh bin Dato Seri Setia Haji Abdul Salam; deputy permanent secretaries; heads of department; deputy/acting heads of department; senior officers at the Ministry of Home Affairs and officers and staff of the ministry and departments under it.
