By command of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, Inspector General of the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), some 15 senior officers of the police force have been promoted to a higher rank effective August 8, 2016.

Attending as the guest of honour at the ceremony held at the officers' mess at the Police Headquarters in Gadong yesterday was Dato Paduka Seri Haji Mohd Jammy bin Haji Muhd Shah Al-Islam, the Commissioner of the RBPF.

Senior Superintendents of Police, Haji Mohd Hassan bin Pehin Penyurat Haji Ahmad and Pengiran Haji Muhammad bin Pengiran Haji Metali were both promoted as Assistant Commissioner of Police.

Meanwhile, Yang Amat Mulia Superintendent of Police Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Saifullah bin Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris; Superintendent of Police Masni binti Haji Jamil; Superintendent of Police Haji Mohd Fadzillah bin Haji Ismail; Superintendent of Police Haji Chipli bin Haji Mohammad; and Superintendent of Police Haji Zaini bin Haji Abdul Rahim were promoted as Senior Superintendent of Police.

Deputy Superintendent of Police Pengiran Haji Abdul Salam bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Ghani; Deputy Superintendent of Police Mohd Noorani bin Hussin; Deputy Superintendent of Police Haji Azree bin Haji Abdul Manaf; Deputy Superintendent of Police Zaila binti Haji Zaini; Deputy Superintendent of Police Suhairi bin Haji Sukri; Deputy Superintendent of Police Abdul Haji bin Haji Apong; and Deputy Superintendent of Police Hajah Rosnie binti Haji Ali were promoted to Superintendent of Police.

Assistant Superintendent of Police Ang Lay Bee became the Deputy Superintendent of Police.

Present at the ceremony were Her Royal Highness Princess Hajah Amal Umi Kalthum Al-Islam and Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar who witnessed the promotion of their son, Yang Amat Mulia Senior Superintendent of Police Pengiran Anak Haji Mohammed Saifullah.

Also present were the Senior Assistant Commissioner of Police Mohammad Irwan bin Haji Hambal who is the Acting Deputy Commissioner of Police as well as directors, senior officers and family members of the police officers.

The event concluded with a Doa Selamat read by the Imam of the Police surau.
