MS ABDB Hit Five Past Indera SC

TUTONG

MS ABDB spoiled the return of controversial Indera SC in the Brunei DST Super League after masterminding an emphatic 5-0 victory at the Tutong Sports Complex on Tuesday night.

The victory also sent the defending champions six points clear off Wijaya FC having played a game more than their closest challengers.

The emphatic result also represented the biggest victory for the army personnel against their bitter rivals in recent memory.

Controversy-ridden Indera SC were only finding their feet in Brunei's top tier ever since the heated incident against Kasuka FC which caused the match to be abandoned.

But it was one of the most consistent teams in the league who found a stronghold as Abdul Azizi Ali Rahman bagged a hat-trick on the 13th, 46th and 56th minute.

Mohd Fadhli Haji Awang Salleh and Razimie Ramli also scored a goal each in the rout.

MS ABDB nearest rivals are currently Wijaya FC who have enjoyed a resurrection this season boosted with the acquisition of Hassanal Bolkiah Trophy player Suhaimi Anak Sulau.

Wijaya are aiming for a third place finish in the Brunei DST Super League though they have exceeded expectations at this stage having only beaten once and enjoy a five-point cushion over Najip I Team with a game in hand.

Indera SC have not featured in a league match since March 27 when they hit the headlines for the wrong reasons which raised the safety of match officials after crowd trouble.
