Orlando Bloom Wants To Propose To Katy Perry In The Next Four Months, Source Says

Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry's relationship is far more serious than their steamy makeout sessions have lead on.

As it turns out, the couple—whose romance first went public at the 2016 Golden Globes—could be headed for the altar in to time at all. A source tells E! News the duo has discussed marriage and children, adding, "They are in love and happier than ever. [Orlando] would like to get engaged to [Katy] before the year is up."

The actor is already a father to 5-year-old son Flynn with ex-wife Miranda Kerr, who is set to walk down the aisle with Snapchat founder Evan Spiegel. The insider insists that Kerr's recent engagement has nothing to do with Bloom's commitment to the pop sensation, saying, "He has been over her for some time and [is] ready to begin his life with Katy."

Perry says that a second chance at marriage is in the "Rise" singer's future since her divorce from comedian Russell Brand in 2011. The source tells us, "[Marriage and children] is something Katy has always wanted when she met the man she was ready to settle down with."

And although it could be some time before the couple ties the knot, Orlando and Katy are "not opposed" to welcoming a little bundle of joy together prior to a wedding, the source adds.

In addition to their headline-stealing Italian getaway earlier this month, Bloom and Perry have shared a whirlwind romance of jet-setting all over the world. Most recently in April, they attended a wedding in Aspen. Prior to visiting Colorado, Katy and Orlando flew to Hawaii for a "last minute kind of trip" and in late February they headed to New York City, where Perry dazzled in a beaded black dress during a two-hour dinner with Bloom at the famed Polo Bar.

In March, the avid travelers headed off to England, where Bloom was born. A week later, they were photographed getting hot and heavy on a grassy knoll at the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, Perry's hometown.

One thing's for sure, the end of 2016 is right around the corner!
