A family living in the rural area of Belait District will see more comfortable days ahead after receiving assistance in the form of a portable generator from the Brunei Government yesterday.
The handover ceremony was held at Dayang Siti Rahmah binti Abdullah Oyut's residence and it was organised by the Muallaf Welfare Unit under the Muallaf Development Section.
Present as the guest of honour was Awang Abdul Aziz bin Haji Abdul Kahar, the Acting Assistant Director of Islamic Da'wah Centre under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
Speaking in an interview on behalf of Siti Rahmah was Awang Abdul Malik bin Abdul Mannan who expressed that the house used to have a generator but it broke down two years ago.
