U-21 Athletes Compete Track and Field National Time Trial

Under 21 (U-21) Track and Field athletes took part in the 2nd Track and Field National Time Trial Athletics event on Saturday August 27 held at the Tutong Sports Complex. The event was organised by Brunei Darussalam Athletics Federation (BDAF).
Several track and field categories were played, such as Men/Women Triple Jump, Men/ Women Discuss throw, Men/ Women 1,500m Dash Run, Boys 300m Dash Run and Men/Women 200m Dash Run.
In the triple jump event, Aqil Asyraaf of Tutong District held the best record of 12.31m. As for the discus event, Haji Md Isham of Brunei-Muara District team dominated the event with a record of 32.53m in the men's category, whereas, the women's category was won by Nurul Hamizah Mohd Saiful Rizal from the Tutong team with a result of 22.60m.
In the 1,500m Dash Run event, Md Waiz of Brunei-Muara team was the fastest with a record time of 4:30.52. The 300m Dash Run event for boys was won by Khaizee Iq'mal bin Khairul Ismady who achieved a record of 45.3s.
Siti Nurazureen achieved the best result of 28.72s in the 200m Dash Run event for women's, while Md Noor Firdaus Ar Rasyid of the Brunei-Muara team managed to score the best among the two heat runs in the men's category with a record of 21.98s.
"The National Time Trial event is an additional championship programme to provide exposure for Bruneian athletes. It is aimed to keep up the consistency oftraining and competitiveness of the athletes," stated Md Shahjohan, Secretary General of BDAF.
Also present during the event was Kifli Haji Jaafar, President of BDAF.
