BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN

 

​8 men pleaded guilty to charges under the Infectious Diseases Act Chapter 204 at the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court yesterday. The Royal Brunei Police Force received information on a viral photo of a group of cyclists at Bukit Silat, Kampung Katok 'B' on Sunday the 22nd of August 2021.

 

Further investigation found majority of the defendants failed to wear face mask. The court imposed a fine of $6,500 on Pg Hj Junaidi bin Pg Jaafar, Sawal bin Duraman, Hj Karia bin Duraman, Mohammad bin Haji Japar and Foo Chee Vui. In defaults will result in one month imprisonment.

 

Meanwhile, Roslie bin bin Mohammad Sanih, Rahim bin Mohd Said and Harun @ Sudin bin Mohd Ali were each fined $5,500. In default will result in one a month imprisonment and were given a period until the 28th of October 2021 to settle the fine.
