His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khaki Waddien, Sultan and Yang DiPertuan of Brunei Darussalam has sent congratulatory messages to General Tran Dai Quang, President of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the Government and the people of the

Socialist Republic of Vietnam on the occasion of the 715t anniversary of the National Day of Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

In the message to General Tran Dai Quang, His Majesty was pleased to welcome the president and his wife Nguyen Thi Hien to Brunei Darussalam last month, which greatly served in enhancing both bilateral ties and regional cooperation between the two countries. His Majesty furthermore expressed his full support to General Tran Dai Quang as Chairman of APEC next year.

In a similar congratulatory message to Nguyen Xuan Phuc, Prime Minister of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, His Majesty expressed his great appreciation for the close cooperation enjoyed by the two countries bilaterally, and as partners in the region, and extend Brunei Darussalam's full support to Vietnam's APEC Chairmanship in 2017.
