LIMBANG, SARAWAK
Over twenty members of the National Anti-Drug Association of Brunei Darussalam (BASMIDA) led by its President, Datin Hajah Masni binti Haji Mohd Ali, and Vice-President, Dayang Hajah Linda Aini binti Abdullah, recently made a goodwill visit to their Malaysian counterparts, PEMADAM, in Limbang, Sarawak.
Upon arrival, the group was greeted by Awang Suffian bin Mohat, the Mayor of Limbang; and Dayang Hajah Hamidah binti Haji Bakir, the chairperson of PEMADAM, cum Limbang District Officer.
BASMIDA members were then taken on a tour of Cue and Care Service Centre (CCSC), which conducts rehabilitation programmes in a transparent manner, to speed up the process of rehabilitation, and to assist addicts in managing their lives without drugs.
Datin Hajah Masni said that the visit gave both associations the opportunity to share information in overcoming drug abuse, and to explore potential areas of mutual cooperation.
The tour ended with BASMIDA members being briefed on Sarawak's "Sejiwa Senada" (One Soul, One Beat) programme, and a broadcast interview on RTM Limbang's FM radio station.
