Two Bangladeshis were sentenced to imprisonment for possessing Customs Contraband namely 423 cartons of cigarettes and 13 bottles of alcoholic drinks.

The first defendant, Samim Hosan, was found guilty for keeping the contraband. Meanwhile, the second defendant, Salah Uddin Bhuyian was guilty for possessing the contraband. Both defendants were fined $338,400. The defendants failed to pay the fine and were sentenced to 34 months of imprisonment from 3rd of November 2021. All contraband were seized to be destroyed.
