 November 19th, 2021  |  11:33 AM  |   771 views

KOTA KINABALU

Sabah registered a new Covid-19 cluster for the first time since November 7 at a secondary school host in Ranau.

Sabah’s official Covid-19 spokesperson Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said that the Kemburongoh Cluster had  infected 22 people.

“The index case involved a 17-year-old student,” he said in a statement on Thursday.

“He then transmitted the virus to his classmates, roommates, his warden as well as the warden’s family members,” added Masidi.

Sabah’s Covid-19 daily tally dropped slightly from 599 cases to 541 cases on Thursday.

Kota Kinabalu topped the list with 93 cases followed by Penampang (60) and Tuaran (56).

“One Covid-19 death was recorded in Pitas,” said Masidi.
