Validity Of Singaporediscovers Vouchers Extended 3 Months To March 31, 2022 If Bookings Made Before Dec 31

Singaporeans may now use their SingapoRediscovers vouchers for eligible attraction, hotel and tour experiences until March 31 next year, provided they book before Dec 31, the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) said in a media release on Monday (Nov 22).

Previously, the vouchers scheme was set to end on Dec 31 this year, with all activities booked having to take place before that date.

Before this latest extension, STB had previously extended the deadline by six months from June to December this year.

However, reduced group sizes and capacity limits at tourism establishments as part of regulations in force in recent months to curb the spread of Covid-19 had affected the rate of redemption of the vouchers.

Trade and Industry Minister Gan Kim Yong revealed on Nov 2 that as of Oct 21, more than 1.25 million Singaporeans had used their vouchers at least once.

This represented less than half of the adult Singaporean population who had redeemed their vouchers out of some 2.96 million vouchers distributed to the population here.

STB hopes that the extension will give Singaporeans more time to book activities and use their vouchers.

The five authorised booking partners — namely, Changi Recommends, GlobalTix, Klook, Traveloka and Trip.com — will add more slots for activities that can be booked up till March 31 next year.

“We strongly encourage Singaporeans to plan ahead and book their experiences early, especially for the upcoming festive season and school holidays in December and March,” STB added.

Those who need help with bookings may take their original identification documents to the physical SingapoRediscovers booking counters across the island before Dec 31.

From 1 Jan next year, the authorised booking partners will no longer accept tourism bookings made using SingapoRediscovers vouchers and all physical counters attending to this will be closed.

Singaporeans who wish to donate their vouchers may browse the five authorised booking partners’ donation options and are encouraged to make their donations well before Dec 31 this year. Donations may also be made through the physical booking counters.
