(KPL) President of the Lao Red Cross Phouthone Muangpak received on Tuesday a courtesy visit from Deputy Representative of UNICEF to the Lao PDR Beate Dastel.

At the amicable talks, the Lao Red Cross President highly commended the UNICEF’s supports and cooperation extended to the Lao PDR to promote nutrition, health and education in the country.

Both sides highly valued the cooperation between the two organizations with respect to the formulation of a cooperation plan for the next five years.

The visiting UNICEF official also assured the host that the UNICEF will continue to provide assistance to the Lao Red Cross in areas of Covid-19 control, relief aid, and basic health promotion.
