Covid-19: More Than 22.7 Million Adults In M'sia Fully Vaccinated So Far

KUALA LUMPUR

 

A total of 22,774,778 individuals, 97.3% of the adult population, in Malaysia have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 as of Sunday (Dec 12).

 

Based on data from the Health Ministry’s CovidNow portal, some 98.7% of the adult population, or 23,096,370 individuals, have also received at least one dose of a two-dose Covid-19 vaccine.

 

Meanwhile, CovidNow data also said 86.5% of the adolescent population (aged between 12 and 17), or 2,724,110 individuals, have completed their vaccinations, while 2,825,229 individuals, or 89.7%, have received at least one dose of the vaccine.

 

A total of 67,376 doses of Covid-19 vaccines were administered on Sunday, with 63,889 given as booster shots; 2,005 as second doses; and 1,472 as a first dose.

 

As of Sunday, a total of 54,891,289 Covid-19 vaccine doses, including 3,663,587 booster shots, have been administered under the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme. – Bernama
