11 New Cases, 5 Cases Recovered

11 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total COVID-19 cases to 15,458. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter at a media conference on the latest COVID-19 situation held at Dewan Al 'Afiah, Ministry of Health.

 

Of the total, 10 are local cases and 1 is an import case. The number of new cases is the result of 1,121 laboratory tests conducted in the past 24 hours. Therefore, the rate of positive cases yesterday is 1 percent. Among the cases being treated at the National Isolation Centre, one case is still in Category 5 requiring assistance of artificial ventilation and an additional heart/lung machine, ECMO at the Intensive Care Unit. 5 cases have recovered yesterday, bringing the total number of recovered cases in Brunei Darussalam to 15,260 cases and the total active cases are 98 cases. Meanwhile, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 2.4 percent.
