Awang Muhammad Nazir bin Haji Othman and Awang Khairol Helmy bin Abdullah, emerged champions in the National Level Khat Competition for Traditional and Contemporary Categories 1443 Hijrah / 2021 respectively. The Prize Presentation Ceremony took place yesterday morning at the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.

The prizes were presented by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Second Minister of Defence as Chairman of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors. Also present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health as Deputy Chairman of Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors; Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs as member of the Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Board of Directors who is also the Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Islamic Calligraphy and Arts Studies Centre.

In support of the Brunei December Festival 2021, a week-long exhibition of the works of the winners and participants was also held on the ground floor of Block C, Yayasan Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Complex.
