The 'Gerai Hujung Minggu Pasar Kitani' held every Sunday is now back. The weekend market is one of the initiatives and efforts to support agricultural entrepreneurs in supplying high quality local fresh produce directly to consumers as well as promoting environmental sustainability. It is held at parking area of Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Jalan Menteri Besar, Berakas.

 

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism. More than 40 local entrepreneurs registered under the Department of Agriculture and Agrifood participated in the activity. Among the local produce available included vegetables, fruits, poultry and agrifood. The 'Gerai Hujung Minggu Pasar Kitani' is hoped to help local entrepreneurs to develop the agricultural industry in the country.

 

The public visiting the weekend market are reminded to adhere to the Standard Operating Procedures or SOP set by the Ministry of Health.
