A Khatam Al-Quran and Doa Kesyukuran Ceremony was held to further enliven the upcoming 11th Hafl Al-Takharruj for Sultan Sharif Ali Islamic University, UNISSA. 234 graduands were feted at the ceremony that took place yesterday morning at Masjid Universiti.

In attendance was Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Hamzah bin Haji Sulaiman, Minister of Education. As previous years, the Halaqah Khatam Al-Quran Programme is held in groups for final year students, aimed to encourage the culture of reading Al-Quran. Also present were Doctor Haji Azman bin Ahmad, Permanent Secretary for Higher Education at the Ministry of Education and Doctor Haji Norarfan bin Haji Zainal, Rector of UNISSA.
