Kuching North City Commission (DBKU) Datuk Bandar Datuk Abang Abdul Wahab Abang Julai is impressed with how the Kuching Intercultural Mooncake Festival 2016 at Carpenter Street and Ewe Hai Street are organised.

Launching the fiesta on Saturday night, Abang Abdul Wahap said the use of the slogan ‘Sight Sound and Taste’ as its guide and ‘Unity in Diversity’ as its principle was in line with the ‘Unity City’ moniker bestowed upon the city two years ago.

In congratulating the organising committee that was led by Sim Kiang Chiok and Amy Tnay Li Ping, Abang Abdul Wahap said he was very impressed with the organisational aspect of this event.

“In my humble opinion, it has transformed this event into an Iconic event for Bandaraya Kuching.”

The festival started on Sept 9 and will end on Sept 15.

It is open from 7pm to 10.30pm nightly at Carpenter Street and Ewe Hai Street.
