People and residents of Brunei Darussalam will celebrate the 38th National Day this Wednesday. To ensure the smooth running of the event, a full rehearsal took place yesterday morning at Taman Haji Sir Muda Omar 'Ali Saifuddien in the capital.

Present to oversee the rehearsal were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar, Yang Di-Pertua Adat Istiadat Negara; and Yang Berhormat Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports. Also in attendance were Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs and Datin Seri Paduka Doctor Hajah Romaizah binti Haji Mohd Salleh, Deputy Minister of Education. The rehearsal followed the guidelines and Standard Operating Procedures.
